Luigi Ontani was born during the Second World War on the Gothic Line. After attending the ‘Corso di nudo’ at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna in the 60s, at a time when traditional techniques were generally rejected, Ontani moved on to experimental painting that drew inspiration from the childlike sphere of the game and began to create his vivants.
